2601 Ocean Park Ave. - iPHONE X, B-ROLL, SANTA MONICA, OFFICE SPACE AVAI...
I figured for my first day at the office, I could go outside and shoot some footage and cut it together real quick. I shot everything on my iPhone X and cut it together using iMovie.
What I wanted to show here is that even if you aren't a filmmaker, you can still use visual story-telling to showcase something. For example, if I were a Real Estate Agent and I operated within a certain area, I could go out for an hour each day and put together one of these and then share it on Linkdyn, Instagram, Facebook or wherever else I market my listings.
The tools are right there in the palm of your hand. It just takes a little bit of effort for you to go out and actually do it.

RynoRyder's Vlog - Ep. 005 - PHONE TROUBLES, DRINKS IN MANHATTAN BEACH, ...
Weird Vlog day today, but nonetheless, a very productive one. I had been without my phone for a few days because my account was locked out and so that took up most of my morning time, but I learned a valuable lesson from it all.
I have a tendancy to not accept others' help and always assume I can fix everything on my own. This is a weakness of mine that my lovely wife was so happy to point out to me :) but it's important to hear about your flaws, listen to them, digest them, and then learn and move on.

This is a clip I pulled from my most recent Vlog. The reason I chose this clip is I think a lot of people (in America) still live in a high school state of mind. Whether they had it good or bad, people I find are still using their past as excuses to why they're unhappy in the present. To those people I say F*** You!! RynoRyder's Vlog - Ep. 004 - MORNING ROUTINE, NEW YEARS RESOLUTION & BEC...
I start the camera early in this Vlog and you get to see me feed the Pig and Chickens. Also, the Cat Toy I built. I talk about how I hate making New Years resolutions, because I think if you want to change something, you don't have to wait for a specific time of the year. BUT, this year I made one against anybody who tells me an excuse for anything...F*** YOU!! If you are unhappy, it is your fault. Period.
I then meet up with Gordon for lunch and AJ after that, talk about how I need to get better at vlogging, and more encouraging, I'm sure, words. :)

USC Talk - "Ultra Creative" - RynoRyder's Clips - ADVERSITY, BIPOLAR, BR...
This is a clip I pulled from the talk I gave at USC this past week. In it, I talk about almost "making it" in the film industry, my years of depression that followed, starting a production company and then suffering a massive mental breakdown during a manic period, was diagnosed as having bipolar disorder, and hit the reset button on knowing who I was as a person.
But through hard work, support from my wife and business partner, meditation, medication and writing, I was able to build myself back up to who I am today and I'm ready to start sharing my message with the world.
I hope this clip inspires you to think about what YOU want to say the world, and start doing something each and every day to make sure it gets heard.

"What is YOUR message?" RYNORYDER'S CLIPS - USC Chapter Talk

Guest Speaker Ryan McCoy - USC Chapter Talk - FILM INDUSTRY, INDY FILMMA...
This is my first ever attempt at giving a talk. I gotta say, it could've gone worse. :) Look, at the end of the day, what I'm trying to do, which is, document my journey as an independent filmmaker trying to "make it" in Hollywood, is truly so I can share any and all knowledge I've gathered over the course of my life, so that I can provide a platform and build a community for the next generation of filmmakers to come up in, that is free of the current system. That allows for FULL artistic control, not trying to make every little piece of narrative fit into some type of pre-formed mold. The movie industry needs change, and I'm going to be the first out the gate to make that happen. Thanks for watching!

"We all want the same thing...to make a movie." VLOG, INDEPENDENT FILMMA...
This is a clip from Episode 002 of my Vlog. I wanted to put this clip out on its own because I think the message is strong. At the end of the day, everyone in my business all want the same thing: to make a great movie. Unfortunately, it's not just as easy as that and it takes a certain kind of persistence in order to reach your goals. I want to make sure I help build those dreams, not tear them down because I think mine are better. Humility wins the game every time.

In the SECOND official Vlog episode for RynoRyder, I shoot the majority of this on my iPhone and cut it together in iMovie. I switch to my Canon 7D for the Skype call, because I was obviously using that at the time.

RynoRyder's Vlog - "I Give Value" - NEVER GIVING UP, MOTIVATION, INDEPEN...
This is a clip from a podcast interview Ryan did with Alex Terranova, The DreamMason. (@inspirationalalex). In this clip, Alex has just finished pushing Ryan to talk about what he is nervous about, coming out and sharing his story of his mental breakdown and recent diagnosis of having bipolar disorder.
I like this clip because when you listen to the full segment, you can hear Ryan's hesitation for answering the question. Alex does a great job pressing him until he finally explains that he's nervous about what people who've known him in the past will think about what he has to say now. BUT, the upside is that his message may reach 10, 20, maybe 100 times more people who are discovering his message for the first time.
This is an in-depth look at the REAL struggles behind what it is like to be an independent filmmaker living in Los Angeles. Ryan gives his viewpoints and experiences about the industry, what he is doing now and also where he sees it going.
Ryan also opens up about going through a mental breakdown back in 2017, and his recent diagnoses of having bipolar disorder and the adjustments he's had to make because of it and how he has now been able to harness it and use it to better his life and others.
