The morning starts out a bit rough, I received some personal news that I had to deal with, BUT, it's all about the climb.  Another rainy day in LA.  I head to the office to record another podcast show and this time my guest is the amazing actor and friend, Micah Parker as my guest.



Then it's off to Beverly Hills where my friend hooks me up with an advanced screening of Pacific Rim:  Uprising at the RealD theater.

BIPOLAR, MENTAL HEALTH, MENTAL BREAKDOWN - RynoRyder's Podcast - Show #1

I've been putting out a lot of content lately but this is by far the most important one so far. Exactly one year from the date this video is posted, I suffered a massive mental breakdown and put the lives of my family in danger. I was diagnosed as having bipolar disorder and really hit the RESET button about knowing who I was for the last 36 years of my life.

When I decided to start putting my message out to the world about what I experienced and how I've rebuilt myself up, I made the decision to launch a Podcast and Internet show, and release it on the anniversary of that night that changed my life forever.

Through a BUTT-LOAD of hard work and support, I achieved that dream and executed on my vision. I'm very proud of what I have accomplished and will continue to spread my message and share my life as a filmmaker living in Los Angeles.

I hope this show can serve as an inspiration to others, that no matter what the obstacles are in your life that may stand in your way, whether they be physical, or mental, that if you work every day on it and you work hard, you can achieve anything you want.

HOW DO I MAKE A MOVIE? NO MORE EXCUSES. GO TELL A STORY. - RynoRyder's...

This is a rant I pulled from my latest Vlog.  I had been wanting to film a "Go out and make a movie" rant for a while now and I think this captures my frustrations within my industry.



Technology is now available for us all to capitalize on.  The problem is that filmmakers, or aspiring filmmakers, have forgotten the TWO most important variables....STORY and HARD WORK.



Every single filmmaker you admire put in an unbelievable amount of work in before they were graced with laurels.  Nothing happens by chance or accident and it DEFINITELY doesn't always happen in the first round of the fight.

Another productive day of vlogging.  I drive down to Redondo Beach once more to pick-up Josh and then we head to the office and record another show for RynoRyder's Podcast.

My second day recording my new podcast starts with a trip down to Redondo Beach where I make an odd prediction of where I think Rock Music might end up.  Then, it's off to Santa Monica to record show #2!

RECORDING PODCAST, POLICE CHASES, GYPSY LIFE & STATING "THIS IS MY WHY" ...

I'm really proud of this episode of my Vlog and let me tell you why.  A few months ago, I had the "idea" that I should start a Podcast/Internet & YouTube show, talking about the film industry and giving my opinions on it.  I outlined 18 episodes back in January and knew that the first episode I needed to speak about my mental state, my motivation, my background, and my breakdown.  I wanted to get all of it out there first, so that from this point on, I can freely speak my mind about my industry, without any skeletons in my closet.



Let me tell you...it wasn't easy.  But, I was proud that through my persistance and the support of my friends, I was able to EXECUTE on that idea today.  If no one ever really sees any of this, it doesn't matter.  The feeling I got from actually accomplishing it, and not needing any praise from anyone else but me, feels really, really good. 



If I could somehow share that feeling with you all by posting this Vlog, then I've won on ALL different kinds of levels.  Enjoy...

IT'S EASY TO GIVE UP...I REFUSE TO - RynoRyder's Vlog - CLIP - FYI

This is a clip from my most recent Vlog.  I had to drive 3 plus hours to San Diego for a meeting with potential investors for a film of mine.  It was pouring down rain in LA when I left, the canyon was closed and I had to find another way around, and we were leaving our kid with someone, a friend, for the first time. 



There was no guarantee that this meeting would have the outcomes I hoped for and the Universe was throwing jabs at me left and right.  My point is, I could have easily not gone and given them any sort of excuse as to why, re-scheduled, or just done the meeting over the phone.  I didn't. 



Now, I still don't know the ROI of going to that meeting yet, but I know that anything in life worth having takes hard work.  Period.

RynoRyder's Vlog - Ep. 006 - WRITING MY BOOK, I CLIMB A MOUNTAIN, LATE L...

Plans don't necessarily go according to plan, but in the Vlog you get to see my reaction to some of the writing I'm doing for my book right now.  Re-living these past memories over the years is definitely challenging, but I feel confident in its message.



I think the highlight of this Vlog will be seeing the mountaintop I climb to 2-3 times a week.  I talk about how I imagine the mountain to be any obstacle I want to achieve in my life, and then attack it.  once I reach the top, however, I'm not blind to the fact that you can trip and fall on the way back down the mountain, just as easy as you can on the way up.
